A 2 in 1 Carrycot and Pushchair Review
A 2 in 1 carrycot/pushchair that combines the baby's seat and carriercot into one single unit. This allows you to switch between the two easily as your child develops.
It is generally accepted that babies should remain in a carrycot until they start rolling over, which is usually around six months.
The Icklebubba Eclipse
Since its launch in 2013 the British brand Ickle Bubba has dominated the UK. They have amazing prams and travel systems stuffed with features at affordable costs. They also provide a generous warranty of four years which is more than the standard time offered by other pram makers!
The Eclipse is their most popular model and it's not hard to see why. It's a two-in-one pram and pushchair that is suitable from birth to 22kg (approx. 4 years). It comes with 6 modes of operation, and comes with a Bubba Board at the rear of the unit for a child who can stand independently up to 20kg.
This stroller is perfect for long-distance trips due to its elegant chrome chassis and front and rear suspension. The 360-degree locking wheels make it easy to maneuver on narrow city streets. The seat is adjustable and can be placed either parent-facing or world-facing. Plus, there's a spacious shopping basket and comfortable foot muff.
This pram comes with a raincover, color-co-ordinating changing bag, mat, carrycot apron, mattress, and an extendable hood, which helps to protect your child from the elements. There's also a bumper bar and soft leatherette handlebar. The Eclipse is also manufactured in Britain as is the case with all Icklebubba products!
As well as great value, Ickle Bubba pride themselves on their outstanding customer service and speedy delivery time. The website is easy to navigate and the staff is extremely helpful. You can be confident that you are in in good hands.
The Eclipse is available in an all-in-one bundle that includes the top of the range i-size Mercury car seat or the Group 0+ Galaxy car seat with Isofix base. The car seat and the pushchair are also available as bundles. Both versions come with an accompanying mat, changing bag and footmuff and a raincover and footmuff. And, as always, if you're not happy with your purchase, Ickle Bubba will give you an entire refund. Isn't that fantastic?
The carrycot
The carrycot offers the safety, comfort and secure space for newborns. It helps infants to develop in a healthy manner since lying flat is vital for spinal and lung development, and it's much safer than a baby sleeping upright in the pram seat or Moses basket.
Carrycots are also portable, meaning you can take your child out and about without disturbing their rest. This is great if need to run an appointment, do not have a babysitter, or simply want some fresh air and a pleasant walk. This is why a carrycot can be an ideal alternative to hiring a babysitter, and will save your time and money.
When choosing a carrycot, select one with a sturdy frame designed for easy mobility and that is able to fold easily. It should be lightweight so that it can be moved and stored and also come with a canopy that protects your infant from the sun. To ensure your baby's safety it is recommended to choose a carrycot made of high-quality fabrics with flame retardant fillings.

A quality carrycot should include a comfortable mattress, that is typically filled with polyurethane foam for optimal support and comfort. You can also find models that have adjustable base levels to accommodate your growing baby and offer the best comfort.
A high-quality carrycot should also have handles that can be linked or one handle to make moving more convenient. This is particularly useful when there are several family members who use the stroller.
Look for a carrycot with an attached footmuff. It is a must-have item for every parent since it will provide warmth and security for your child from the elements. A quality footmuff should be comfortable and soft lining, and it must be made of fabrics that are showerproof to keep your baby dry and warm. The best footmuffs are compatible with your carrycot and feature five points of safety harness.
The seat unit
The seat is part of a 2-in-1 system which converts a baby's carrycot into a pushchair after your baby can sit up. It usually has a recline feature and two "facing directions" - either parent facing or back-facing or world-facing. 2 in 1 travel system is important that it is comfortable for your child and spacious. It should also have a sunshade and a hood.
You can buy an individual pushchair and carrycot or in bundles. Bundles save you money and time by allowing you to start with the carrycot, and then change it over to the pushchair seat when your baby is six months old or can sit up unaided. Most travel systems have car seats adaptors that allow you to connect the infant car seat to the chassis of the pushchair. This lets you easily move your sleeping baby from the car to the pushchair.
When you are shopping for a carrycot, choose a model that is comfortable with breathable fabrics that will keep your baby cool and comfortable. Some models come with ventilation, sun protection and an incredibly soft mattress that will aid your baby's sleep.
If you intend to use your carrycot starting from birth, choose one that permits the use of a parent facing position as this will enable you to monitor your child. You can quickly check on your child, comfort them and calm them during the first few months. Many parents have found that it helps with bonding when their little one can see them.
When your baby is ready to move from their carrycot to a pushchair seat they will need an incredibly comfortable, supportive seat with plenty of padding and good lumbar support, along with a five-point harness. Check if the pushchair comes with a reversible footmuff or seat liner that is super-soft and waterproof. It can also be attached during winter when temperatures are colder.
Look for pushchairs 2 in 1 with a spacious basket that's easy to access from the seat and has multiple pockets for your shopping. Consider an extra bag for changing to keep you organized when you go out. Most brands offer matching changing bags, or you could opt for a bag tote or backpack that fits neatly on the frame of the stroller.
The footmuff
A footmuff is an excellent way to keep your baby warm and comfortable when they are out and about during cold winter days. The footmuff is wrapped around the lower part of your baby's body to keep it warm and cozy. It also comes with easy strap openings that allow you can secure them in their stroller or vehicle seat. Some footmuffs are specifically designed to fit certain strollers or car seats. This is ideal for keeping your baby warm without worrying about overheating.
Parents often use footmuffs in place of blankets or extra layers to keep their children warm. This is particularly useful when it's raining or windy. Najell Universal Footmuff has a super-plush cushioning that keeps your baby warm and cozy. It's also machine washable, so you can easily keep it clean. It also fits most pushchairs, which makes it a practical and easy accessory.
The Hauck Soft 2in1 Carrycot can also be used as a footmuff by removing the handles as well as the head part and lateral parts. This makes it a practical choice for infants who don't want to be covered up while out and out and about. This can save space in the nursery as you have only one product that you can use from birth until toddlerhood. If you'd like to make sure you're organized, there's even an included pacifier bag so that you can always find the baby's favorite.
2 in 1 travel system -in-1 carrycot and stroller will ensure your child is safe, secure and comfortable throughout the day, whether you're walking in the park or running to the grocery store in the city. The spacious carrycot provides a nurturing environment, while the sturdy chassis and adjustable canopies protect you from the elements so you can enjoy outdoor adventures with confidence. When it's time for you to go inside the Eclipse can be folded down quickly and easily into a lightweight and compact package that fits easily into the boot of your car.
